Cisternino, an ancient village with ancient Messapian origins, is a jewel set in the splendid Itria Valley, and has been recognized as one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy" as well as receiving the honor of the Orange Flag from the Italian Touring Club, with ancient Messapian origins, it overlooks the Itria Valley, offering visitors a breathtaking view from the terraces called Pineta and Villa, places that host folkloristic events throughout the year and which are also meeting points much appreciated by tourists and residents.
